FS/CA/CW_Interpretation & Translation Services - Interpretation & Translation Services for Child Welfare 2025

The City and County of Denver (“City”), through the Child Welfare Division of Denver Human 
Services (DHS), is seeking applications from qualified agencies and organizations to provide 
interpretation and translation services for children, youth, and families who have Limited 
English Proficiency (LEP) or people who are deaf, hard of hearing, or deafblind. DHS shall 
prioritize applicants that can meet the unique needs of our Child Welfare staff by delivering 
timely, accurate, and culturally informed face-to-face interpretation as well as translation 
services to clients at specified locations. Often Child Welfare requires access to services on 
short notice, during and after normal business hours, as well as on weekends and/or holidays 
when necessary. The goal of any resulting contract(s) is to ensure that all Child Welfare clients 
can access information and services in the language and communication method that best 
supports their understanding – whether spoken, written, or signed.
The total funding available for award through this Request for Applications (RFA) is estimated 
at $500,000. The City intends to execute contracts with one or more organizations and 
reserves the right to negotiate all final contract amounts. The anticipated initial contract term 
is April 1, 2026, through March 31, 2029, with the possibility of a subsequent two-year 
extension that will be contingent on need, performance, and availability of funds.
