This RFP seeks to procure a design contractor to support the 2024 AGTS Maintenance Facility Expansion at DEN (Project), which aims to enhance, modernize and expand the existing facility to support the growing fleet of Automated Guideway Transit System (AGTS) vehicles and the airport’s expanding passenger traffic. The Project involves structural upgrades, including additional maintenance bays, increased capacity for heavy and light maintenance, and expanded storage. Facility enhancements will also include modernized power distribution systems, upgraded administrative, restroom and breakroom spaces, and sustainability-focused features such as energy-efficient lighting and heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, and new flat roof. Phased construction for the Project will ensure minimal disruption to ongoing operations. The City will utilize a Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) delivery method for the Project, which will optimize cost control and schedule adherence, with a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) ensuring predictability. The selected contractor under this RFP shall work closely with the City’s selected CM/GC contractor in delivering the Project.
