RFB-12-25 - Towing and Impound Services

Summary of Specifications:
The City of Wheat Ridge is requesting Towing and Impound Services for the Police Department. Services include towing of all models of trucks, cars, trailers, etc. and storage. Anticipated start date August 2012. Term is for one year with the option to renew for four one-year renewal periods. 

The City’s current contract with Connolly’s Towing, Inc. will expire at the end of July, 2012. It has been in effect since August 2007. Their service and performance continues to be satisfactory. 

The City's objective is to seek and procure goods and/or services as per Attachment A, Rules and Regulations. Intent is to award to one firm. Vendor must provide 30 minutes response time for regular tows and 1 hour for heavy duty, if required. Response time in most situations is critical. All applicable State of Colorado and Federal laws, City and County ordinances, licenses, permits and regulations shall apply to this award and the duration of the agreement. Upon award, requests will be placed on an as-needed basis.
