Summary of Specifications:
Thornton is seeking Proposals from Service Providers to provide General Roofing Construction and for on-call, as-needed repair services under a renewable term Agreement. The Work will be performed at various City of Thornton facilities which will be occupied. Roof types may include, but not be limited to:
1. High Wind Lock Roof Systems 2. Flat Tar Roof System 3. Corrugated Metal Roofing 4. EPDM System 5. Bitumen Roofing System 6. Built-Up Roofing System 7. Hip Roof System 8. Tile or Shingle Roofing System
These services may be required on an emergency basis by Thornton’s Infrastructure, Parks and Open Space, or Building Maintenance Departments. Services may also be required for scheduled Projects. Compensation will typically be computed using the Cost of Work plus Fee method. The Cost of Work will include subcontract costs, direct billable labor, materials, and equipment costs (both owned and rental), and approved reimbursable expenses. The Fee will be computed as a markup percentage to be applied to the total Cost of the Work. Separate percent markups will be used to cover costs of insurance, bonds if required, overhead, and profit. The Agreement shall terminate on December 31, 2019 unless sooner terminated by Thornton’s issuance of a Termination Notice. Upon request, rate adjustments may be re-negotiated on an annual basis between the Parties.
