17-052 - Asbestos Inspection, Project Design and Monitoring Services

The City of Montrose is requesting qualifications and rates through the Request for Qualifications process from licensed firms providing asbestos inspection, project design and monitoring on an on-call basis. Qualifications and rates are to be received by Thursday October 5th 2017 at City Hall, 433 S. 1st Street, Montrose, Colorado 81401. Qualifications and rates will be received no later than 2:00 P.M. on the above date. 

Complete RFQ packets can be downloaded from the City web page at www.cityofmontrose.org under Department Services, Purchasing, and Open Bids. Addenda will be posted to the website and it is the bidder's responsibility to download addenda. 

The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive irregularities and/or informalities and to disregard all non-conforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids. BASIC SERVICES OF THE ASBESTOS INSPECTION, PROJECT DESIGN AND MONITORING SERVICES FIRM INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

1. Survey, bulk sampling, inspection, and report preparation for removal or design for removal of ACM for various City projects.
2. Assess hazards posed by the presence of ACM and recommend appropriate response actions.
3. Plan scope, timing, phasing, and remediation methods to be utilized on ACM abatement projects.
4. Provide comprehensive reports detailing monitoring activities at the conclusion of all asbestos abatement projects.

3. Firm must , for three (3) years prior to this proposal have been in the business of performing asbestos survey inspections, asbestos project design, air testing and project monitoring.
