In general, the scope of work for this engagement will be to allow for the continued use of the existing handheld devices and integrations, while developing the solution for the proposed new handheld’s meter-reading software. The scope includes a complete replacement of the existing meter reading handhelds, meter-reading software, and their integration into the existing CIS. The City desires a turnkey solution to this project from one Proposer that allows for reading both electric and water meters. This includes engaging the City’s CIS vendor to provide the necessary services to accomplish the full integration of the handhelds with the CIS.
