The City occasionally has a need for special counsel to provide legal advice and assistance regarding redevelopment and development opportunities in the City. While redevelopment by its nature is uncertain, issues that may arise include strategic legal advice regarding urban renewal development for existing and future urban renewal plans, brownfield redevelopment, financing options, and transit oriented development. Development opportunities are more limited, but also more straightforward in terms of public/private partnerships. Legal advice will include, but may not be limited to, general advice, negotiation and drafting of contracts with private and public entities, and litigation, as requested.
