Description

The Water Quality Laboratory is required to perform Biochemical Oxygen Demand (BOD) and Carbonaceous Biochemical Oxygen Demand for the City of Longmont Wastewater Treatment Plant. The tests are for both regulatory and process control purposes and must meet the requirement of the EPA approved method-Standard Methods 5210 B-2016. It is imperative that the quality control and quality assurance requirements for the method are met if the results are to be reported to regulatory agencies. Where possible the laboratory uses automation to help improve laboratory efficiency and safety.
