Farr Park is a 5.9 acre neighborhood park at the intersection of 26th St. and 13th Ave. Park amenities include a shelter with restrooms, basketball court, tennis court, pickleball court, baseball field, and two playgrounds. The larger 2,900sf playground includes a swing set and a concrete rock wall. The playground closer to the shelter is 1,000sf with a toddler structure. Both playground footprints have a 2ft. wide perimeter curb flush with adjacent walks and grass. There is a private water line running under the larger playground, connecting the restrooms to the tap on 26th St.
Sanborn Park is a 29.1 acre neighborhood park at the intersection of 20th St. and 28th Ave. Park amenities include a shelter with restrooms, volleyball court, walking paths around the reservoir, and a 4,900sf playground divided by a concrete walk. The playground currently has one 5-12 structure, swings, and a toddler structure. The playground perimeter is a 6ft walk flush with adjacent grass.
Josephine Jones Park is a 37 acre neighborhood park between 56th Ave. Ct. and 28th St., along Highway 34. Amenities include soft surface trails, picnic shelters, and a 1,600sf playground. The playground is surrounded by a 1ft concrete perimeter curb flush with the grass.
The playgrounds at Farr Park, Sanborn Park, and Josephine Jones Park are being updated to better serve the needs of the community. Community outreach for each project was conducted in May 2023. Each playground replacement included in this sole RFP will be reviewed and scored as an individual project.
