Summary of Specifications:
The project generally consists of the rehabilitation of two concrete vaults; CIPP lining 120 lineal feet of 30 inch RCP, 120 lineal feet of 18 inch RCP, and 120 lineal feet of 24 inch RCP; CIPP lining 20 lineal feet of 54 inch (RCP pipe); bypass pumping; and traffic control.
Contractors submitting bids over $50,000 must be prequalified in accordance with the City's "Rules and Procedures for Prequalification of Contractors." In addition, all CIPP products and CIPP installers must be pre-approved, according to requirements listed in the project Special Provisions. Bids must be clearly labeled on the outside of the envelope, listing the product name and installer being proposed. Only bids received from Pre-qualified Contractors and using Pre-approved products and installers will be opened and read. Bids submitted on products and/or from installers that have not been pre-approved will be returned unopened. Application forms for prequalification are available at the Administration Office of the Department of Public Works and Planning. The submittal deadline for prequalification and preapproval of products is Wednesday, May 20, 2009.
