Summary of Specifications:
The City of Durango invites all interested, qualified persons or firms, capable of providing the required services, to submit proposals for design and engineering services for construction plans and specifications associated with the future construction of the SMART 160 Trail—Crader Section in Durango. The City is requesting proposals from a Professional Engineer, licensed in the State of Colorado, to provide engineering services necessary to design and provide documentation for bid and construction of this section of trail to meet current standards. The final designs and plans shall be sealed in accordance with the bylaws and rules of procedure of the Colorado State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors by the responsible engineer in charge.
The proposed trail project will provide an approximate 2,600 linear feet of concrete multi-use trail between the eastern terminus of the existing section of trail within the CDOT Highway 160 interchange area in Grandview and Design Center Drive located within the Davidson Development to the east.
Services to be provided by the consultant will include but not be limited to: site inventory and analysis, environmental assessment, development and evaluation of conceptual alternatives, development of 60% level plans, development of 90% level plans, development of final bid and construction plans, specifications, special provisions, bid schedule, estimated construction schedule, and engineers cost estimates. Specific services to be provided are detailed within the Scope of Services defined within this Request and within CDOT Scoping and Clearance Letter - Revised, May 17, 2011.
