Invitation to Bid
The City of Cripple Creek, based in Teller County, Colorado, will receive sealed bids for the new construction of “A Place for Kids” Childcare Center in Cripple Creek, Colorado. Sealed bids will be accepted until 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025. Bids must be mailed or delivered to Jeff Mosher, Special Projects Director, City Hall, 337 E. Bennett Ave, P.O. Box 430, Cripple Creek, CO 80813, by 2:00 p.m., October 29th, 2025, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 10:00 AM, at 337 E. Bennett Avenue, Cripple Creek, CO 80813.
The project includes all work described in the Design Development Drawings and Project Manual prepared by Compass TDG Architecture for the ground-up construction of a two-story childcare facility. Work includes architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and civil scopes outlined in the Contract Documents.

A certified check or bank draft, payable to the City of Cripple Creek, or negotiable U.S. Government bonds (at par value), or a satisfactory Bid Bond executed by the bidder and an acceptable surety in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total Bid shall be submitted with each bid.
This project is funded in part by public grant sources and is subject to equal opportunity employment requirements. The selected contractor must ensure nondiscrimination in employment and may be required to coordinate with local workforce agencies.
The project must be completed and receive a Certificate of Occupancy no later than December 31, 2026.
The City of Cripple Creek reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to defer award for up to thirty (30) days while bids are reviewed and qualifications are evaluated.
