The Urban Renewal Authority of the City of Commerce City (“CCURA”) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors (“Respondents”) to complete a Feasibility Study and Architectural and Engineering Professional Design related services for a new, proposed public building (“Multi-Purpose Complex) at Mile High Greyhound Park as described in this Request for Proposals (“RFP”). The selected Respondent is expected to provide pre-design, design, and construction observation services, as more fully detailed in the Scope of Services section of this RFP (“Services”).
This RFP provides a general description of services anticipated, submittal requirements, outlines selection criteria and the selection process. A response to this RFP (“Proposal”) should serve as a complete approach to providing the services. Joint submittals are encouraged to ensure the ability to provide all services requested in this scope. Any proposed subcontractors/team members must be identified and their roles clearly defined in the Proposal.
The CCURA intends to execute a contract with an anticipated notice to proceed date of Tuesday, December 12, 2023 with the selected Respondent (“Consultant”) on a non-exclusive basis for a term that encompasses the length of time the Services are anticipated to require, subject to annual appropriation.
The Consultant will perform a Feasibility Study and Architectural and Engineering Design Professional Services to assist the CCURA in programming, designing, and constructing a new 25,000 – 60,000 square foot public building (“Multi-Purpose Complex”) located in the Mile High Greyhound Park. Said building may include, but is not limited to, the following primary uses: Performing Arts Facility, Cultural Facility, Advanced/Higher Education Facility, Career Training Facility, and/or Educational Innovation Campus. The building size and primary uses will be determined by the CCURA based on the Consultant’s recommendations regarding the feasibility of project determined during the Pre Design, Concept, and Programming Service Phase of this contract. As such, the consultant will complete a Market Feasibility Study and make well-informed recommendations on the feasibility of the project.
