Item # 1. Mansfield Heights Subdivision: Includes Ash St, Bellaire St, Birch St, Clermont St, Cherry St, Dexter St, Oxford Pl, and Oxford Ave.
Work in this subdivision will consist of removal and replacement of approximately four thousand four hundred and ten feet (4,410’) of four foot (4’) valley pans and cross pans, including removal of eighteen inches (18”) of adjoining asphalt at all pre-marked areas for concrete replacement. All concrete valley pans will be replaced at six inches (6”) depth. All cross pans will be replaced at ten inches (10”) in depth. All concrete replacement must have residential fiber added into the mix at the batch plant. All areas for concrete and asphalt removal will be pre-marked in white spray paint by the Project Manager. The City will allow one inch (1”) wood forms or siding on the grass / landscape side of all pours to minimize landscape damage. ALL IRRIGATION and egregious landscape damage (including sidewalk or driveway damage) will be the responsibility of the Contractor for repair. The Contractor is responsible for all Traffic Control during this project. All utility locates will be the responsibility of the Contractor. All asphalt patch back operations and minor landscape repairs will be the responsibility of the City. Estimated concrete removal and replacement for Item #1 is 328 cubic yards. Estimated asphalt removal at 18” inches by 4,410” feet at 6” inches depth is 240 tons.
The project timeframe (Item #1) will be in the months of March, April, or May 2017 ahead of the City’s Chip Sealing Program.
Item # 2. Sunrise Drive Subdivision.
Work in this subdivision will consist of removal and replacement of approximately nine hundred feet (900’) of four foot (4’) valley pans, including removal of eighteen inches (18”) of adjoining asphalt at all pre-marked areas for concrete replacement. All concrete valley pans will be replaced at six inches (6”) depth. All concrete replacement must have residential fiber added into the mix at the batch plant. All areas for concrete and asphalt removal will be pre-marked in white spray paint by the Project Manager. The City will allow one inch (1”) wood forms or siding on the grass / landscape side of all pours to minimize landscape damage. ALL IRRIGATION and egregious landscape damage (including sidewalk and driveway damage) will be the responsibility of the Contractor for repair. The Contractor is responsible for all Traffic Control during this project. All utility locates will be the responsibility of the Contractor. All asphalt patch back operations and minor landscape repairs will be the responsibility of the City. Estimated concrete removal and replacement for Item #2 is 67 cubic yards. Estimated asphalt removal at 18” inches by 900 feet at 6” inches depth is 49 tons.
The project timeframe (Item #2) will be in the months of March, April, or May 2017 ahead of the City’s Chip Sealing Program.
Item # 3. State Highway 177, University Blvd.
Work on State Highway 177, University Blvd. will consist of removal and replacement of approximately seven hundred feet (700’) of sidewalk (varies from 6’ to 10’ feet wide) at four inches (4”) depth. Estimated concrete removal and replacement for Item # 3 is 86 cubic yards. All concrete replacement must have residential fiber added into the mix at the batch plant. All areas for concrete removal and replacement will be pre-marked with white spray paint by the Project Manager. Many portions of Item # 3 will only be assessable from adjoining State Highway 177. This will require single lane closures (slow lane) on State Highway 177. It will be the awarded Contractors responsibility to secure all needed State Highway (CDOT) Right of Way Permits, provide a State Certified Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS), an approved CDOT Traffic Control Plan, State Certified Flaggers, all traffic control devices, and work within the guidelines and timeframes of the State Highway Permits. The Contractor will be responsible for ALL LANDSCAPE and IRRIGATION repairs on this portion of the Contract. The City will allow one inch (1”) wood forms or siding to minimize landscape damage. The City will provide any follow up asphalt repairs on this portion of the project if needed. The timeframe for this portion (Item # 3) of the Contract will be open for the duration of the Contract. A Pre Bid Tour is strongly recommended for this Item.
Item # 4. University Blvd. and E. Quincy Avenue Intersection.
Work at this location will include concrete curb and gutter removal and replacement, a new concrete curb and gutter extension, a new concrete inlet and outlet headwall on culvert under bike path, and flatwork. Job Description includes North West corner of intersection, removal and replacement of approximately one hundred feet (100’) of existing thirty inch (30”) curb and gutter, and eighteen inches (18”) of adjoining asphalt, new construction of approximately one hundred ten feet (110’) of new thirty inch (30”) curb and gutter extension, and construction of small concrete head walls for inlet and outlet sides of culvert under bike path. South West corner of intersection includes removal and replacement of one hundred ninety feet (190’) of existing thirty inch (30”) curb and gutter, and eighteen inches (18”) of adjoining asphalt, and removal of small area of cobble landscaping and replacement of flatwork where cobble is located. Estimated concrete removal and replacement for Item #4 is 33 cubic yards of concrete, and estimated asphalt removal at 300’ feet at 18” inches, at 6” inch depth is 28 tons.
All concrete replaced must have residential fiber added at the batch plant. All areas for concrete removal and replacement, or new installation will be pre-marked by the Project Manager. ALL IRRIGATION and egregious landscape damage, including adjoining sidewalks will be the responsibility of the Contractor for repair. All asphalt patch back operations and minor landscape repairs will be the responsibility of the City. All utility locates will be the responsibility of the Contractor. All Traffic Control at this location will be the responsibility of the Contractor. The timeframe for this portion (Item #4) of the Contract will be open for the duration of the Contract. A Pre Bid Tour is strongly recommended for this Item.
