ITB-07-041 - 148th Avenue Augmentation Pipeline Project

Summary of Specifications:
Scope of Work: The City operates its water treatment system with a total reliance on shallow alluvial wells. The augmentation requirements for Brighton require the return of replacement water to the South Platte River. With the completion of the 148th Avenue Augmentation Project, the City will utilize surface water rights from the ownership of water shares in the Fulton Irrigation Ditch System and the Brighton Lateral Ditch System to augment the required return flows to the South Platte River. The proposed pipeline in this project will connect to the irrigation ditches by the construction of diversion structures at each irrigation ditch crossing. The planned construction period for the project is the winter of 2007 and the early spring of 2008. Connection to and crossing of the irrigation ditches is critical during the non-irrigation season.
