Description

The City of Boulder is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for centrifuge dewatering polymer for
the biosolids (wastewater treatment sludge) produced from the City’s Water Resource Recovery
Facility (WRRF). Dry Polymer material (bead-type, granular, powder) is accepted; no liquid products
will be considered.

This bid process will have three steps:
Step 1. Perform bench testing of candidate polymer(s)
Step 2. After acceptable bench testing, perform full-scale testing of polymer(s)
Step 3. For polymers that pass the full-scale performance testing, submit bid packet with pricing and
other required information.

To begin Step 1. of the Bid Process, please schedule a specific date/time for polymer trials
before March 10, 2021 with Don Colgate, Operations Supervisor at 303-413-7353, 720-390-2710
(cell), or e-mail at colgated@bouldercolorado.gov. No other polymers will be considered after
that date.

Bid Packets will be due one week following completion of the full-scale polymer testing. The
specific polymer trials completion date will be communicated directly to each vendor who
successfully passes the performance testing. Accordingly, the specific bid packet due date will
be identified at that time.
