Description

The work performed under this contract consists of removal and replacement of various concrete structural assets. Work necessary for accomplishment under this contract includes but is not limited to; removal and replacement of concrete panels, vertical curb/gutters, sidewalks, pans, chase drains, and ADA ramps; partial depth concrete repairs; subgrade preparation and backfill; sprinkler repairs; and landscape restoration. Manhole, valve box, and other utility adjustments are incidental to the project.

Project locations are subject to change. All work within this contract shall be completed per these Special Provisions and the current 2016 City of Aurora Roadway Design and Specifications Manual.

Work not specifically called for, but necessary to perform the contract work will be considered incidental to the contract whether specifically detailed or not.

Additional Bidding Instructions

Each bid response shall be submitted on the prescribed forms supplied in the Project Manual.

Each Bid shall be accompanied by an appropriate guarantee in the form of a Bid Bond, payable to the City of Aurora in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Bid. Original bid bond does not have to be mailed; however, each bidder should maintain the original on file should the City request it at a later time.

Bids shall be submitted electronically, preferably in a single file PDF format, through the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System (BidNet) and must be received no later than 2:00 p.m. (Mountain Time) on January 30, 2023. Bids received using another method such as mail, email, or hand delivery will not be accepted. Late bids will NOT be accepted. Bids shall be retained by the City and cannot be returned.

Bids will be read aloud thirty (30) minutes after the bid closing. This event will be held online using WebEx. Interested parties may join the event using any of the following options:
