Description

The Yellow Brick School, located at 215 N. Garmisch St, Aspen, CO 81611, is a 25,000sf school and office building that was completed in 1960. The East and West stairs are original to the building and have reached the end of their useful lifespan. The Southern ADA ramp is also in need of a railing to further improve accessibility to the facility. The City seeks a firm to perform the removal and replacement of the stair systems. The replacement stairs are to include a new snowmelt system.
This City of Aspen commissioned BG Architecture & Design (the Architect) to design new replacement stair systems for the facility. BG Design produced a detailed set of Construction Documents for the facility that have been attached to this bidding packet.
The City has already submitted for a master construction permit for this project.
