Description

The Old Powerhouse, located at 590 N. Mill St, Aspen, CO 81611, is a historic 7,000sf building that is being redeveloped for City offices. The building exterior is due for an overhaul to preserve its historic nature, and the interior requires new mechanical systems and upgrades to maximize its functionality.

The City of Aspen is working with Gilbert Sanchez Architect and Galambos Architects (the Architects) to redevelop the space. The Architects are currently completing the schematic design process and anticipate having full construction documents and submitting for permit in November 2023.

The City is also working with Concept One Group for Owner’s Representation and Construction Manager as Advisor services on this project.

The project team is hoping to have the building permit issued and begin construction in May 2024.
