23-ENG-116 - Consultant -N. Trunk Sewer Improvements at W. 86th Pkwy, Beech St to Moore St.

The City of Arvada (City) is seeking proposals from qualified engineering consulting firms to provide final design and construction phase services for approximately 11,000 feet of new gravity sanitary sewer interceptor and approximately 3,000 feet of new force main. The City recently completed a Sanitary Sewer Master Plan and the modeling results, in conjunction with modeling completed during the preliminary design phase, indicate that the sanitary trunk sewer in the vicinity of W 86th Pkwy and Alkire St exceeds capacity under future conditions during major storm events. The new gravity main must convey 7,003gpm during wet weather future buildout conditions. A vicinity map showing the location of the proposed sewer improvements is shown below in Figure 1. The City is also currently under contract with CDM Smith to provide preliminary design of this sanitary trunk and force main segment.
