Position Overview: As the contracted Video Editor, Producer, and Photographer for the Chaffee County Visitors Bureau, you will play a key role in creating captivating visual content that highlights the unique attractions and experiences our region has to offer. You will be responsible for producing three tourism videos per week, each showcasing different aspects of Chaffee County's tourism industry. This role requires a high level of creativity, technical skill, and a passion for storytelling through visual media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Video Production: Plan, shoot, and edit a total of 156 one-minute tourism videos annually, highlighting the attractions, activities, and experiences in Chaffee County.
- On-Site Shoots: Conduct a minimum of 54 on-site video shoots and interviews, capturing the essence of Chaffee County's culture, scenery, and people.
- Stock Footage: Compile lists of required stock footage to enhance video content.
- Creative Input: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop video concepts and ensure they align with our branding and messaging.
- Post-Production: Handle video editing, including color correction, audio enhancement, and adding music and graphics to create captivating videos.
- Voiceover Talent: Identify and engage suitable voiceover talent and facilitate script preparation and voiceover recording.
- Video Encoding: Prepare videos for various social media platforms and ensure optimal quality.
- Equipment Management: Must own and maintain video production equipment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in video production, including shooting, editing, and post-production.
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and photography equipment.
- Strong storytelling skills and the ability to convey compelling narratives through visual media.
- Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high-quality video production.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate innovative ideas.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to meet project deadlines.
- Familiarity with the tourism industry is a plus.
