RESPONSES TO RFP WILL BE SUBMITTED THROGUH BIDNET
The purpose of this RFP project is to solicit both Pharmacy Benefit Managers and Specialty Pharmacy Vendors for separate management & services. The Specialty Pharmacy Vendor will perform intake, appropriate adjudication coordination, and utilization management. Additionally, as capabilities allow per Specialty Pharmacy Vendor bidder, the Specialty vendor may propose a program where the Specialty vendor dispenses all specialty products. The PBM will perform adjudication coordination with the selected Specialty Pharmacy Vendor. The final specialty drug list from which UHC & the selected PBM will need to coordinate adjudication & administrative services will be supplied by the selected Specialty vendor. Account management is expected to be mutually exclusive per each vendor, but coordinated between the incumbent medical vendor, UHC, and the selected PBM & Specialty vendors. Member services is expected to be coordinated with white glove service particularly for specialty patients. Formulary administration, management, and maintenance is expected to be provided by the PBM in coordination with the Specialty vendor.
