Description

APS is requesting fully insured medical and prescription drug coverage.
APS is seeking vendors who will offer Performance Guarantees and Implementation credits. All proposals should include details of the Performance Guarantees being offered and implementation credits.
APS currently has approximately 5,500 eligible employees. Refer to the Census for an exact count.

APS covers the following eligible members:

- - Employee:
    - Contracted salaried employees who are contracted for 20 (or more) hours per week for the 2022-2023 school year;
    - Contracted hourly employees who are expected to work 20 (or more) hours per week during the 2022-2023 school year; and,
    - Employees (including those on an agreement for services (“AFS”) and non-contracted hourly employees) who worked an average of 30 (or more) hours per week for APS during the period April 16, 2021, through April 15, 2022 (excluding certain break periods), who we refer to as “ACA-eligible full-time employees.” AFS employees are only eligible for medical, dental, and vision plans (including HSA and FSA).
    - “Full-time employees” within the meaning of Treas. Reg. § 54.4980H1(a)(21), as determined in the sole discretion of the Employer Spouse: Legal spouse, including domestic partner (both same and opposite sex)

- - Dependents:

If eligible to enroll in benefits, qualified dependents are
your legal spouse, domestic partner, children under age
26, disabled dependents of any age, or other dependents,
as defined by Aurora Public Schools.

- - Date Eligible for Coverage:
Coverage will begin the first of the month coinciding with or following an eligible employee’s date of hire or status change that affects eligibility. Newborns or newly adopted children that are added to the insurance are effective the date of the birth or adoption.
