The Aurora Public Schools Communications Team is responsible for all editorial, branding, copy, photo, video and multimedia content on district-level websites. Various district and school staff receive training to keep district department and school websites updated as much as possible. However, the Communications Team provides quite a bit of technical and communications support.
There is an ever-growing dependence on technology to communicate with stakeholders quickly, effectively and accurately.
With this RFP, the district is looking for a digital communications partner who would provide the following integrated services:
- A one-way messaging platform to send out emails, automated phone calls and text messages instantly to tens of thousands of recipients;
- Replace its existing web services, which includes the district’s public website, school websites and the district’s intranet;
- Ensures that the digital ecosystem meets and regularly monitors all accessibility requirements laid out in federal and state law, specifically Colorado’s Laws For Persons With Disabilities (HB21-1110);
- and provides an integrated mobile application solution for the district and schools.
Aurora Public Schools seeks to complete this project as soon as possible. The new district website, which includes divisions and departments, should be live no later than August 2023. The integrated mobile application solution, school websites and district intranet website should be in place no later than December 2023. Project plans must account for sufficient opportunities for input and feedback from the District’s user community.
