2017-051P23 - Central Technology Building Renovation/Addition

Architectural/Engineering services from project Design through Construction for the complete renovation to the Central Technology Building.  This project is necessary to address an aging facility that presents current Life Safety and Building System Issues as well as negatively impacts technology services provided to the entire campus.  The current Central Technology Building (Computing Services) was the former campus Steam Plant originally constructed in 1958.  A renovation/addition in 1999 converted the Steam Plant into its current function as the Central Technology Building.  While this renovation/addition provided initial space for central technology, the facility no longer can support today’s challenges and staffing needed to provide the critical infrastructure for campus wide technology systems.  This project would address all Life Safety issues such as a proper fire protection system, emergency egress, ADA accessibility, restroom code requirements, failing roof/windows and MEP systems, server room cooling/ventilation, and occupancy/circulation requirements.
