Description

The goal of this project is to construct, develop and test five clusters of up to 6 monitoring wells using the roto-sonic, air rotary casing hammer (ARCH) and direct circulation drilling method. Included but not limited to for the work is drilling nine (9) sonic boreholes to between 50 and 105 ft, installing 3-in. PVC casing and screen, gravel pack, and construction monument style surface completions. Work also includes five (5) combination ARCH and direct mud circulation boreholes with geophysical logging. Three (3) of the direct mud boreholes will include installation of nested 3-in. pvc well casing separated by intermediate seals. Two (2) of the direct mud boreholes will be completed with single 3-in. PVC casing strings.

Optional tasks to be completed at Owner’s discretion include construction of 5-in. diameter monitoring wells via direct mud drilling, NMR logging of up to three (3) deep boreholes, and aquifer pumping tests.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for January 18, 2024, at 9:00 am. 1701 Lombard St, Suite 200, Oxnard CA 93030 will be the location of the pre-bid meeting. The Meeting will be held in the United Boardroom. The Pre-bid meeting shall begin promptly at the listed time and those arriving late will not be admitted nor allowed to sign in. A sign in sheet will be utilized for attendance verification purposes.

Access to NVBC-Point Mugu is restricted. One representative from each potential bidder will be allowed on base for the job walk and site inspection. Following the Pre-Bid Meeting, these representatives will meet at Point Mugu Parking on Naval Air Rd, Port Hueneme, CA 93041 (immediately in front of the Las Posas Road Gate). Navy personnel will provide transportation on NBVC-Point Mugu.
