As described in the Bidding Documents, the bids are for a public works project which consists of improvements on Peck Road at a pipeline undercrossing of an existing 10 foot x 4 foot reinforced concrete storm drain box, installation of a 10 inch diameter potable water pipeline installation in the same alignment as the existing (removal of the existing) and related connections and improvements, water casing pipeline trenchless (jack and bore) crossing of the County of Ventura Watershed Protection District Peck Road storm drain box culvert, pavement grinding and overlay, thrust blocks, miscellaneous water improvements, pressure testing, flushing and disinfection, bacteriological testing, replacement of existing striping and signage, and other incidental and appurtenant work necessary for the proper construction of the contemplated improvement, as indicated on the project plans.

The City requires all Pre-Bid Conference attendees to arrive for the meeting on time and to sign an attendance list which is used to determine if Bidders meet this requirement. In order for a Bid to qualify for consideration in making an award, the Bidder shall have a responsible representative present for the entire duration of the Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting. Bids received from Bidders not represented at the Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting and Site visit will be returned to the Bidder unopened.

The City of Santa Paula is accepting sealed bids by US Postal Service (mailed) or similar service (FedEx, UPS, etc.), or by hand delivery. All sealed bids shall be mailed/delivered to the City Clerk’s office, 970 Ventura St., Santa Paula, California 93060 by 3:00 P. M. on Wednesday, July 23, 2025. Bid envelopes shall be labeled with the project name: Santa Paula Peck Road Waterline Repair Project - Rebid. At which time they shall be publicly opened via Zoom teleconference. Bids shall not be accepted after that time.
