This is a Public Works project which consists of improvements at the existing Canyon Booster Pump Station site including, but not limited to: demolition of existing retaining wall, demolition of electrical equipment, pump assembly - motor, pump, can, removal and replacement of piping, new vertical turbine pumps and cans, valves, electrical improvements, CIDH piles and retaining wall, thrust blocks, miscellaneous water improvements, pressure testing, flushing and disinfection, bacteriological testing, installation of asphalt paving, and other incidental and appurtenant work necessary for the proper construction of the contemplated improvement, as indicated on the project plans.

Event Note

Bidders will have the opportunity to ask questions regarding the local conditions, potential construction difficulties and restrictions related to the performace of the Work under the Contract. Bidders will be allowed to visit the project site during the pre-bid meeting. The City requires all Pre-Bid Conference attendees to arrive for the meeting on time and to sign an attendance list which is used to determine if Bidders meet this requirement. In order for a Bid to qualify for consideration in making an award, the Bidder shall have a responsible representative present for the entire duration of the Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting. Bids received from Bidders not represented at the Mandator Pre-Bid Meeting and Site visit will be returned to the Bidder unopened.

The City of Santa Paula is accepting sealed bids by US Postal Service (mailed) or similar service (FedEx, UPS, etc.), or by hand delivery. All sealed bids shall list the following information on the outside of the package: Canyon Booster Pump Station Improvements. Sealed packages shall be mailed/delivered to the City Clerk's office, 970 Ventura S.t, Santa Paula, CA. 93060, by 4:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 29, 2025.
All questions relating to interpretation of the Contract Documents must be submitted in writing no later than 4:00 P.M. Wednesday, April 23, 2025 and responses shall be in the form of written addenda to the Contract Documents. Questions may be sent via electronic mail to the attention of the Interim City Engineer Robert Woodwad, PE, engineer@spcity.org
Questions submitted after this time shall not be responded to.
