NASA/AFRC has a requirement for unique expertise in support of specialized operational, repair, and technical support capabilities required to efficiently maximize availability of the X-59 aircraft system throughout Phases 2 and 3 of the Quiet SuperSonic Technology (Quesst) mission. The type of support required will include:
- Aircraft Engineering for the X-59 aircraft
- Aircraft Avionics, Simulation and Software for the X-59 aircraft
- Aircraft Repair, Assembly and Integration for the X-59 aircraft
- Specialized Aircraft Operations Maintenance for the X-59 aircraft
NASA/AFRC intends to issue a sole source contract to acquire the services from Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial product or commercial service using FAR Part 12.
Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to the Contracting Officer, Mrs. Roxana Romero at roxana.l.romero@nasa.gov not later than 12:00PM PST on March 19, 2025. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
