3.1. General Information The permeable pavement shall be constructed to cover an area of approximately 1,924 square feet. Construction will require an estimated 3,848 cubic feet of primary excavation. Additionally, approximately 88 cubic feet of secondary excavation will be required for the trench for geothermal coil installation, which will connect the permeable pavement area to the greenhouse. All work shall be performed in accordance with the design specifications and construction guidelines. The selected contractor shall be responsible for the complete cleanup and proper off-site disposal of all construction debris and residual materials. Daily removal of trash and general site cleanliness are required throughout the duration of the project. All proposals must include the following: 1. A detailed project timeline and construction plan, specifying the equipment, methods, and procedures to be utilized. 2. A comprehensive cost proposal, including all expenses related to materials, delivery, and installation. 3.2. General Construction Sequence 1. Coordinate equipment/access/schedule with the University. 2. If necessary, arrange for and complete utility marking. Call NC 811. 3. Set up and install inlet protection. 4. Excavate the designated area. 5. Install geomembrane and geotextile layers. 6. Install underdrain and geothermal coils. 7. Install subbase layer. 8. Install edge restraints. 9. Install base and bedding layers. 10. Install paving materials. 11. Remove erosion and sediment controls and all residual debris from the site. 12. Demobilize from the site after final acceptance of work by the City of Wilson and University personnel.
