Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Sunnyvale (“City”) is seeking potential suppliers (Bidders) to provide chemical product(s) for use by the City of Sunnyvale Water Pollution Control Plant (“WPCP”) for three years, with the possibility of up to three one-year extensions thereafter. The products are intended to supplement the existing flocculant (polymer) used for removal secondary treatment solids at the WPCP’s dissolved air flotation tanks (DAFTs). Procurement of the polymer is not included in this Invitation for Bids. The volume of products needed for treatment may vary widely, depending on condition in the WPCP’s oxidation ponds. Currently, dosage rates in the range of 25-100 mg/L are used for the supplemental chemicals.
