DEMOLITION: 1. Contractor must coordinate all demolition work with repair work. 2. The Contractor shall dispose of all removed and/or demolished material, waste debris caused by the new work. 3. Removal of all debris shall be done carefully and not allow to fall and to impact existing structure work and/or finishes. Repair any damage after reporting and receiving instructions for remedial work. 4. Materials, equipment or constructions not noted in the construction documents, are a part of the work and if discovered during the course of the work shall be reported for instruction prior to removal or abandon in place. 5. In addition to demolition shown, cut, move, dismantle or salvage items necessary to provide access to allow repair work to proceed, Include such items as: A. Repair or removal of hazardous or unsanitary conditions. B. Removal of abandoned items and items serving no useful purpose such as all abandoned piping, conduit and wiring. 6. All adjacent work and constructions damaged due to demolition shall be repaired as part of the contract. 7. The Contractor shall be responsible for the protection of all exposed existing structures at the work area from weather and other inclement conditions and from the installation of other work, any damage incurred due to failure by the Contractor to properly protect such work, shall be repaired at contractor’s expense. 8. Fire safety during demolition and construction shall comply with CFC chapter 33 and CBC chapter 33. 9. Roof Deck Repair- after removal of roofing, inspect deck for damage/rotted plywood sheathing at areas where structural integrity is compromised by damage, replace in-kind the plywood decking prior to roofing installation. Use same nailing and spacing to rafters as existing decking panels have. Refer to bidding documents for allowance of this repair. 10. Demolition/Removal of roofing, any work considered “noisy” can only occur during nonbusiness hours including weekends.
