The Contractor must perform project tasks and/or deliverables including, but not limited to, the following: A. Calibration Services i. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and parts necessary to provide calibration services for radiation equipment identified in Attachment 1, Radiation Emergency Response Kits (Descriptions). a. Instrument calibrations shall be performed in accordance with ANSI N323AB 2013, “American National Standard for Radiation Protection Instrumentation Test and Calibration, Portable Survey Instruments” and manufacturer’s instructions. As-found calibration information shall be obtained according to ANSI N323AB unless equipment is malfunctioning. b. The Contractor must have the capability to calibrate the instruments using a Cesium-137 (Cs-137) National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Beam Calibrator. The radiation intensity (output) of the calibration source is measured with NIST traceable ion chambers. c. Beta dose rate calibrations shall be performed using a NIST traceable Strontium-90/Yttrium-90 (Sr-90/Y-90) beta source. d.
