Specifications include, but are not limited to:The virtual welding systems will be used at the Cois Byrd Detention Center (CBDC) and the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility (SCF) as part of the Riverside County Office of Education’s (RCOE)-Desert Edge School (DES) welding program, offered through the Sheriff’s Inmate Training & Education Bureau (SITE-B). The two (2) systems must include the following: Computer based mobile virtual reality arc welding training simulator with touchscreen user interaction that simulates GMAW, SMAW, FCAW-S and FCAW-G welding. Flexible tabletop welding stand and arm rest, which allow for multiple welding processes and positions. Must provide visual cues to give real-time technique feedback, realistic welding puddle appearance and sounds, tracking for accurate measurements, scoring, record archiving, and should verify student work. A demo and replay mode.
