Specifications include, but are not limited to: •Must be able to translate and proofread the following nine (9) languages without errors: Spanish, Chinese (Traditional), Japanese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Korean, Khmer, Hindi, and Thai.•A minimum of five (5) years’ experience performing written translation services as stated in the SOW, include contracting with State, Local, or Federal government entities and two (2) of the five (5) years must have been acquired in the last five (5) years.•Each translator and proofreader must be:oA certified and registered interpreter on the Judicial Council Master List. oroAn interpreter categorized as “certified” or “professionally qualified” by the Administrative Office of the United States Courts, oroFrom an institution accredited by a regional or national accrediting agency recognized by the United States Secretary of Education, oroFrom an institution accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, or oA current voting member in good standing of the American Translators Association, or oA current member in good standing of the American Association of Language Specialists. oroThe Vietnamese translators and proofers may be certified through the Society of Translators and Interpreters of British Columbia. Certifications should clearly state which language pair and direction the translator, and the proofreader, are certified in (e.g., English>Tagalog).
