Another room will accommodate acute slice electrophysiology with an ex vivo whole-cell patch-clamp rig with event-triggered LEDs for optogenetic manipulations in acute slices. Behavioral rooms will be set up with operant chambers (Med Associates); each equipped chamber features video tracking software and recording. The behavioral rooms will utilize the sucrose preference test, 3-chamber sociability tasks, and stress paradigms using the Noldus Ethovision XT 11.5 automated video tracking software.
