Specifications include, but are not limited to: With the Installation of a Bruker Ultima Laser Scanning Microscope and a multiphoton in vivo imaging system, the BRI 78-109 Lab Renovation will house the Coley Lab, which plans to study prefrontal cortex neural activity and dynamics in response to stress. Another room will accommodate acute slice electrophysiology with an ex vivo whole-cell patch-clamp rig with event-triggered LEDs for optogenetic manipulations in acute slices. Behavioral rooms will be set up with operant chambers (Med Associates); each equipped chamber features video tracking software and recording. The behavioral rooms will utilize the sucrose preference test, 3-chamber sociability tasks, and stress paradigms using the Noldus Ethovision XT 11.5 automated video tracking software.
