Specifications include, but are not limited to: pick up and transport hazardous and non-hazardous materials from SMUD facilities throughout Sacramento, Placer, and El Dorado County to approved disposal facilities primarily within California with the possibility of Nevada, Idaho, Utah, Kansas, Oregon, and Arizona. In addition, the Contractor will provide SMUD with 20- and 40- cubic yard roll-off containers for the storage of waste materials. Typical waste materials requiring transportation include, but is not limited to, drummed PCB liquids, PCB capacitors, drummed used oils, drummed spent fuels, oily solids, treated wood, friable and non-friable asbestos, contaminated soil, debris, and other RCRA and non-RCRA waste materials. Most of the proposed transportation and waste pickup will originate from the SMUD’s Corporation Yard located at 4401 Bradshaw Road, Rancho Cordova, California. However, there will be occasions when the waste material will be picked up and transported from other SMUD facilities within Sacramento County, El Dorado County, and Placer County.
