Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Pool Maintenance Requirements Provide water management and equipment maintenance services for Villa Parke & Honorable John J. Kennedy Swimming Pools, 12 months of service, with a minimum of 2 times a week year-round. Honorable John J. Kennedy Pool - Year-round 3 times a week Villa Parke Pool - Fall, Winter Seasons: 2 times a week/Spring, Summer Seasons: 3 times a week The pool maintenance service Co. shall be a Los Angeles County Dept. of Health Certified Swimming Pool Service Technician, CPO certification, and a licensed contractor C53 for any major repairs. Water chemistry shall be maintained to provide effective sanitation and good water clarity using chemicals efficiently and maximize the service life of mechanical equipment, the pool structure, and fittings. The pool maintenance company shall maintain an accurate service log and maintenance records on-site. These records shall remain the property of the City of Pasadena. The pool maintenance company shall monitor the pool and related equipment and report any hazards or safety problems to the City Maintenance Supervisor immediately upon discovery. The pool maintenance company shall advise the City of Pasadena on preventative maintenance needs, recommend equipment replacement when necessary and advise the City on required purchases related to pool equipment. The pool maintenance company shall keep the equipment and chemical rooms clean and uncluttered, and shall ensure that the facility is secured, gates and doors, during service visits and upon leaving the facility. WATER MANAGEMENT SERVICES AS FOLLOWS MUST BE CARRIED OUT AT Villa Parke and Honorable John J. Kennedy Pools. Water Chemistry • Maintain water chemistry in compliance with Los Angeles County Department of Health codes and standards. • Perform manual chlorine, pH, and total alkalinity tests at each service visit. • Perform cyanuric acid level tests monthly. • Monitor calcium hardness levels monthly. • Monitor and control total dissolved solids levels.
