Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Remove and legally dispose of existing roof systems including, but not limited to, vertical flashings, sheet metal edge flashings, mechanical screen flashings, roof drain and pipe flashings. 2. Replace any damaged wood supports and/or plywood decking as needed. New wood supports and/or plywood decking to match the same grade and thickness as that of the existing wood/plywood and shall be installed in accordance with local building code requirements. Note: Wood support/plywood decking replacement to be an added cost item (contingency). 3. Existing equipment curbs with less than eight inch (8”) flashing height are to be raised except the large HVAC curbs and screen wall sleepers. 4. Install a layer of 1/4" thick DensDeck Prime cover board directly over the properly prepared plywood deck. The cover board shall be secured to the plywood roof deck in accordance with Factory Mutual Class 1-90 wind uplift criteria. 5. Over the DensDeck Prime cover board, install a fiberglass reinforced 60-mil PVC membrane with integral 9 oz. felt backing adhered to the cover board using VOC compliant, water-based membrane adhesive. All membrane laps shall be hot-air (molecularly) welded. 6. Install PVC clad sheet metal drip edge flashing at building roof edges. 7. Install 96-mil PVC membrane equipment/walkway access tread at the roof access points and at serviceable sides of the existing HVAC curbed units. The cost of the walkway tread shall be included in the base bid amount.
