Specifications include, but are not limited to: Sewer condition assessment by CCTV is required to determine thestructural condition of pipes, address emergency and regular repair needs,as well as determine the quality and frequency of sewer cleaning activities,all in an effort to reduce spills and cover its operational and planningneeds. The main purpose of the RFP/CONTRACT is to haveCONTRACTOR provide CCTV-inspection of sewer or storm drain linesthat make up the CITY’s wastewater Conveyance and storm drainsystems. CCTV-inspection is accomplished by inserting a small camerainto the pipe, and recording all the defects and imperfections of the seweror storm drain. It is estimated that 400 miles of pipeline, with pipesranging in size from 6-inches to over 48-inches in diameter, will beinspected per year as part of the CONTRACT. There are also other tasksthe CONTRACTOR will be requested to perform under the CONTRACT,including but not limited to the following:●Obtaining permits from the California Department ofTransportation (CALTRANS) when performing work onState highway.●Performing specialized cleaning of sewer pipes of varioussizes as requested.●CCTV-inspection of sewers in areas where accessibility isdifficult, namely EASEMENTS.●Assisting/standing-by during emergency situations asrequested by the CITY
