Specifications include, but are not limited to: The County of Sonoma Permit and Resource Management Department (Permit Sonoma) is pleased to invite you to respond to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Building Plan Check Services. Permit Sonoma is seeking qualified individuals, firms, or multi-disciplinary teams to perform plan check services (plan checking) for building permit applications as a relief mechanism to provide timely plan check services to the community during occasions of seasonal workload increases, staffing shortages, or other unforeseen events that may impact Permit Sonoma’s normal operations. OVERVIEW: Permit Sonoma has a continual flow of building applications that need to be reviewed to ensure applications conform with County codes, building codes and standards, and regulations prior to issuance of building permits. Work typically proposed in building permit applications includes, but is not limited to, new construction, alternations and/or repairs, requiring a building permit. Permit Sonoma seeks to identify firms qualified to assist with the seasonal backlog of building permit application reviews.
