Specifications include, but are not limited to: PCIT is a recognized treatment model with highly specified, step-by-step, live-coached sessions with both the parent/caregiver and the child. Parents/caregivers learn skills through PCIT didactic sessions, and, using a transmitter and receiver system, the parent/caregiver is coached in specific skills as he/she interacts in specific play with the child. The therapist provides coaching from behind a one-way mirror. The emphasis is on changing negative parent/caregiver – child patterns. Vendor shall: 1. Provide a PCIT therapist that meets the qualifications described in this RFP; 2. Keep current resumes on file for all PCIT therapists providing service; 3. Provide a PCIT course curriculum which consists of 20 hours per course per client; 4. Provide the physical space and all materials for the course; 5. Notify DFCS within five days of referral if contact with client has not occurred; 6. Administer pre and post-testing to clients; 7. Submit a monthly report to DFCS in a format approved by DFCS, containing updates of client status, client attendance, and any non-compliance issues; 8. Submit an annual report in a format approved by DFCS no later than July 15 of each year; 9. Be available to meet with DFCS, upon reasonable request, to review client participation; 10. Upon completion distribute a certificate to each participant; 11. Upon completion perform a client assessment; and 12. Submit all assessments with a copy of completion certificate to DFCS within two weeks of completion. Vendor may work with DFCS to develop a PCIT Medi-Cal reimbursable program, and develop South County access to PCIT.
