• Preparing staff reports, resolutions, and public hearing materials for Planning Commission and City Council meetings. • Availability to attend Planning Commission and City Council meetings in person; other planning tasks can be completed remotely. If additional in-person services are needed, they will be coordinated on a case-by-case basis. • Process entitlement applications including application intake and completeness review. • Responding to and processing all planning-related requests, including plan reviews, conditional use permits, variances, sign permits, and other land use approvals. • Attending City Council meetings to present projects for Council approval, as needed. Attendance is only expected when there is a project or issue for approval. Attend Planning Commission Board meetings as needed to present relevant material. • Coordination regarding action items related to Housing Element Update, including Housing Element Implementation). • Interfacing with City staff, consultants, and other agencies as needed. • Monitoring all planning-related regulations and mandates and advising the City Manager regarding any necessary actions. • Reviewing projects for compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act and NEPA; preparation of environmental documents.
