Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Case types include general, vascular, spine surgery, joint cases, neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery and ENT procedures. 2. In 2019 there were 751 total technician-staffed monitored cases, 606 of which were for spine surgeries. 3. Typical start time for majority of procedures utilizing neuromonitoring is 7:00 AM and cases usually last 3 hours or longer; while most neuro-monitored cases are scheduled Monday thru Friday on non-University holidays, effective need for neuromonitoring will be 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. 4. UCDH will provide all consumables, including electrodes, grids, EMG electrode endotracheal tubes, etc.; UCDH owns, and the incumbent may utilize, two monitoring interpretation equipment units, however, the incumbent is expected to supply adequate monitoring interpretation equipment for supporting all cases. All equipment provided must be FDA approved for intended use and inspected by UCDH Clinical Engineering.
