The City of Montebello(City), Department of Transportation, commonly known as Montebello Bus Lines (MBL), is seeking a qualified vendor to provide its Montebello Metrolink Rail Feeder Shuttle Services (Montebello Link) to and from the Montebello/Commerce Metrolink Station located at 2000 West Flotilla Street in the City of Montebello. The scope of work is to utilize five vehicles to transport Metrolink passengers during the morning and evening peak commute hours. The selected vendor will also be responsible for providing Montebello Link shuttle services to bridge the commute gap from the Montebello/Commerce Metrolink station to local areas of employment. The vendor shall coordinate, manage, and control all necessary program activities that shall include providing vehicle operations, vehicle maintenance and operating personnel; providing driver and other personnel training; developing administrative procedures, performance statistics, and financial records; and developing methods to maximize service efficiency. The vendor shall not enter into an agreement with any other party for use of equipment or personnel dedicated to this service without the written approval of the City. All service vehicles must carry valid licenses and/or permits that allow them to operate in Los Angeles County. The City will contract for operational services with payment made at a fixed rate per scheduled vehicle service hour, less any missed service. The Vendor shall provide a high quality, customer service- oriented shuttle operation. The city will monitor the service closely to ensure that all contractual responsibilities are met. Additionally, the selected vendor shall abide by and obey all applicable Federal, State, and City laws, and must also fully comply with all provisions of the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act requirements.
