The University is seeking to hire a Contractor for renovation work that will be delivered by Job Order Contracting (JOC). As described in more detail in the bidding documents, work under the JOC will be limited to the following: C-7 – Low Voltage Systems Contractor The Low Voltage Systems Contractor will provide materials and services in support of renovation or remodel projects: 1) Inside an operational OSHPD (HCAI) 1) regulated hospital, 2) Inside operational OSHPD 3 ambulatory clinics, and 3) Inside operational educational, administrative, and non-clinical spaces. Work under the JOC may include dedicated Low Voltage project scopes with a value up to $250,000: This JOC specifically excludes projects that may require qualified specialized staff holding specific certifications or licenses as determined by the University Representative. Fire alarm systems are specifically excluded from this JOC. This JOC specifically excludes electrical work on systems or components meant to be supplied with more than 91 VAC. Line items for this JOC shall include: Demolition o Demolition of cabling, cabling supports, fire penetrations, devices, racks, and other equipment for all systems listed below. Category 6 Horizonal cabling. o Adding or relocating data cabling and outlet. Coaxial Cabling. o Installation of cabling, fittings, devises, and pathway. o Installation or relocation of MATV location. Including mount and monitor. Install of surface mount raceway and cable trays Single mode fiber o Fiber splicing per 12/24 strand cassette (LC). Both with and without fiber shelf installation. o Installation of single mode fiber cabling, including termination, and testing without fiber shelf. o Installation of splice casing. Equipment rack installation, wire managers, patch panel, and ladder racking (per foot). Adding DAS antenna to existing system. Including cabling, splitters, amplifiers, antenna, testing/commissioning. Fire Penetrations o EZ-Path Installation.
