Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor to provide all the labor, materials, and equipment to complete the following: 1. Isolate the existing heat pump unit and using lock out tag out to ensure that all work is done safely 2. Disconnect the condensate line, ductwork and utilities in a manner to allow it to be re-connected on the new unit 3. Disconnect the heat pump from the flashing and sleeper assembly 4. Lift the old unit off the roof top and lift the new unit to the roof top 5. Make any needed repairs to the existing sleeper caused by removing the old unit and any needed reconfigurations needed to properly support the new unit 6. Replace the flashing and seal the flashing to the roof top 7. Lower the new 2 ton down draft heat pump on the new flashing connecting the ductwork in the process 8. Mechanically connect the new unit to the flashing and the building sealing it to ensure the unit and the new work is properly sealed to maintain the roof seal 9. Adjust the vibration eliminators to minimize the vibration to the buildings structure 10. Replace the existing disconnect with a new fused properly sized to meet the requirements of the new heat pump. 11. Reconnect the electrical and condensate lines to the unit 12. Test to ensure condensate drain line has proper drainage 13. Perform the start-up of the new unit to ensure the unit operates per the manufactures specifications in both the cooling and heating modes 14. Install a new thermostat and metal locking cover in the control office. 15. Test the new unit from the thermostat while verifying the unit is operating properly 16. Contractor to remove all debris from the site for proper disposal. 17. All energy sources that impact this project must be locked out and tagged out to ensure the safety of all parties. 18. Failure to complying with the lock out / tag out requirement and meeting code including NFPA 70E will lead to a job stoppage till the requires are met and if the violation (s) are severe enough to the county the building inspector termination of the contract could be warranted 19. County representative shall conduct final inspection for acceptance. 20. The work is to be performed before or after normal working hours to minimize the impact to the county occupants. 21. The vendor must pass a County of San Diego background check and obtain a County ID in order to perform work. Vendor may pay for an authorized County of San Diego security contractor to oversee the work in lieu of background investigation. 22. Any electrical work must adhere to NFPA 70E and if requested the contractor will need to demonstrate compliance to the county inspector. 23. Contractors/Subcontractors must be registered with DIR. Quote documents are subject to monitoring and enforcement by DIR. 24. Vendor must complete a minor labor form and provide a certificate of insurance with the County of San Diego named as additional insured.
