Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City of Lawndale desires to enter into contracts with one or more highly qualified Grant Writing/Engineering firms for Grant Writing services on an as-needed basis. The City’s use of consultant services is on an as-needed basis so that if the demand is not there, the services will not be requested. For each on-call service request, the consultant and the City will agree upon the specific scope of work and cost for that project. The City has the right to retain other consulting firms in its sole discretion when the City believes there will be an economic or other significant advantage for doing so. No minimum amount of work is guaranteed under these agreements. Compensation will be based on the time and material with a not-to-exceed limit agreed upon by both Consultant and the City before work begins. Proposals from firms with local, full-time grant writing resources are desired. 4 The Scope of Services includes, but is not limited to, the following: • Research available grants; • Provide recommendations for the best grants to fit the City’s needs; • Assist Lawndale City Staff with procuring the grant by creating appropriate responses as requested in the grant applications, with the City’s input; • Follow through to provide support during the grant procurement process; • Grant Administration when needed.
