Specifications include, but are not limited to: A qualified attorney or firm to provide day-to-day legal services necessary for the operation of the agency. Proposals should be cost effective and include reasonable fees. Serve as General Counsel and represent AHA, in any legal matters, (and the same services to ICD and AAHC) including providing: 1. General legal advice to the Board of Commissioners, Executive Director, and staff relative to agency matters. 2. Legal advice to the Board of Commissioners regarding the Board’s powers, duties, and responsibilities, legal methods, and procedures. 3. Attendance at public meetings (regular and special) as well as closed sessions of the Board of Commissioners may be required on occasion.
