General Maintenance for routine, recurring and usual work for the preservation, protection and keeping of Student Housing related buildings, structures, ground facilities, and utility systems. It is for the intended purpose of maintaining safe and continually usable conditions for areas have been designed, improved, constructed, altered or repaired. General Maintenance includes but is not limited to; carpentry, electrical, plumbing, glazing, [touchup painting,] and other craft work designed to preserve the publicly owned or publicly operated facility in a safe, efficient and continuously usable condition for which it was intended, including repairs, cleaning and other operations on machinery and other equipment permanently attached to the building or realty as fixtures. Before commencing Work, the contractor shall submit a Maintenance Schedule of proposed operations for University's approval. In preparing the Schedule, provide the following: Proposed Schedule of Values, Equipment and Bill of Materials. The Schedule may be in the form of a written proposal that shall include a starting and completion date for the various work activities involved, together with such other information relative to progress of the work as may be requested by the University.
